The Red Cross is taking blood donations at WSU Vancouver through August 26. The Blood Drive is held at the Firstenburg Student Commons building. Students can walk in any time from 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to donate blood. Appointments can also be made on the Red Cross website.

Donating usually takes from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on whether an appointment was scheduled beforehand or not. Donors are encouraged to drink water and eat before donating blood to avoid fainting or other issues.

Donors receive a $15 E-Gift card of their choice, along with snacks and water, to help them rejuvenate after donating.
The Red Cross will also return to campus on Oct. 29-30 and Jan. 14-15.
